Written 10 April 1970 put into the mouth of Rueben Rosenberg, Bernice's father. Rueban was very conservative and hard to move. He was harder to push to new places than a donkey. Of course once he got to a new place, he didn't want to leave because he loved the new place so much. Our Sandra is going way up north I don't have to take her where she goes I'll go south and swim in the sea's froth You won't find me where it always snows As far back as I can remember It snows there until late September October 1st it starts once again They've never heard of a thing called rain But with school Sandra was very late And though you all know I hate to go It seems to teke her north is my fate Where deep snows fall and freezing winds blow But wait, you mean to say I'm here I would have thought we couldn't be near The weather here is actually nice In this land I thought was filled with ice My pretty daughters I'll tell you what I see we have found a real fine spot And what is more I'll have you know We will stay here and back home you'll go.
