EAS 217 TEST 2 TOPIC 1. POEMS In 1963 I began keeping a journal to improve my writing skills and self understanding. The journal included essays, stories, and poems. At some point I found that I had moderate poetic skills and even began writing poems for various family occasions. Many of the poems are gentle roasts, but they cover a range of topics. When spread over 40 years, they some evolution of character and represent a very incomplete autobiography. Souza only had a band Moses but a promised land Jason just some golden fleece But only Stanley has Bernice TOPIC 2. PERSONAL PHOTOS Most of my photos are of clouds and storms, but some beautiful photos have crept in during various vacations. Some of the photos contain people, mainly family members IMAGES

TOPIC 3. STUDY ON STUDENT SELF ASSESSMENT Over the years, students have protested the grading on their tests. Surprisingly few argue that they have been given too much credit for an answer. Most ask for higher grades and some simply cannot understand what they did wrong even after the correct answer is given. But after I gave one class a test on computer programming, and most programs failed to work in the time allotted, students left the test convinced they did more poorly than they did. This led me to conduct a survey after each test in which the students had to estimate their grade. The study included here presents and analyzes the surprising results.
