Homework: Homework problems will be distributed in class once a week.
Textbook: Kenneth H. Rosen, Discrete Mathematics and its applications, McGraw Hill, 6th edition.
Material to be covered : Permutations, combinations, generating functions and recurrence relations, inclusion and exclusion, applications to matching theory, linear programming, introduction to graph theory and coloring theory.
Approximate grading weights:
Homework: 10 %
3 term exams: 30 % each
There will be no early or make-up tests.
