The
fundamental theme permeating my work has been the great fascination
with complex dynamic systems in both my original geoscience
research field of magma dynamics, evolution and eruptive behaviours
as well as in my more recent complementary research field
of geoscience education.
Both
areas are integral part of my vision of contemporary science
in a world in which research and teaching are inexorably integrated
into a cohesive whole.
