Textbook: K.H. Rosen, Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications, 6th edition, McGraw-Hill.

Homework: Homework problems will be distributed in class once a week. Selected problems will be collected and graded.

Exams: Four 2-hour tests and four 20-min quizzes are scheduled. The last test will be comprehensive and will play the role of the final exam. Approximate grading weights are the following:

Make–up policy: No late homework will be accepted. If you miss a test or a quiz, your grade will be 0. No grade will be dropped. No make–up exams will be given unless you provide an official excuse for your absence.

Material to be covered : Chapters 2, 4-9.
