Background
After
completion of the Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1989, Mahesh
joined the National Institutes of Health as a Fogarty Fellow. In
1994 he joined the private sector as Senior Scientist and then returned
to academia in 1998. He moved to The City College (CUNY system)
in 2000. He was granted early tenure and is currently Associate
Professor of
Chemistry.
On the personal side, classical music, its performance, piano and
composition are among his
interests besides travel, reading and painting in aqua colors.
