What do we do?

How does the brain determine where a movement goes? Our laboratory uses behavioral and computational techniques to study how vision and cognition interact to produce movement commands.

We study the generation of saccadic eye movements, which are used to shift the eye rapidly to permit clear seeing. The simplicity of the eye movement system makes it ideal for studying how vision and cognition produce movement.
