A Petition to the American Physical Society for the Creation of a Topical Group

We are petitioning the American Physical Society (APS) to form a new topical group on quantum theory, which we believe is long overdue, that would include foundational problems, quantum information, including quantum cryptography, quantum computing, and any other relevant subjects, because the existing superstructure of the APS spreads these problems over many different, unconnected groups, and they should have a home of their own.
