PLTL Yahoo Group

      Joining PLTL Yahoo! Group: 

  1. Go to  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PLTL/
  2. If you already have Yahoo! ID and remember your password, click on Join This Group button and follow the directions. If you are new to Yahoo!, click on http://billing.mail.yahoo.com/bm/MailReg?.v=8 to create new account.
  3. Click on the violet button at the bottom left that says Sign Up for Yahoo! Mail.
  4. Follow the directions to create your Yahoo! Account. Please remember your ID and password, you will need it later.
  5. After you successfully create an e-mail account with Yahoo!, go back to  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PLTL/
  6. Click on Join This Group button and follow the directions.

Editing Profile: 

  1. Go to http://profiles.yahoo.com
  2. Click on View My Profiles at the top right corner of the page.
  3. Log in to Yahoo!
  4. Click on [Edit] next to your username which is located in the yellow box at the middle of the page.
  5. Here you can Edit Profile Information, Edit Picture, and Change Page Colors.

(Please make sure to include your Name, Location (city and state) and the name of your school so that other leaders know who you are and where you are from.)

  1. Click on Save Changes button when done editing.
  2. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PLTL/
  3. Click on [Edit My Membership] link at the top right corner of the page.
  4. Make sure that Yahoo! Profile which you just edited matches with the one displaying on this page.
  5. Make sure that e-mail address that you are using the most often is the one displaying on this page. This e-mail address will be used to send you new messages. Note that this e-mail address DOES NOT HAVE to be your Yahoo! Address. For example, you can write your AOL address there if you are using it more often.

PLTL-Biology Listserve
The PLTL-Biology Listserve was formed to facilitate communication among those faculty interested in or already implementing PLTL workshops into their biology courses.  The goal is to eventually develop a library of workshops addressing topics in Introductory Biology and Anatomy and Physiology.  To subscribe to the Listserve, send an email to the following address: Majordomo@coastal.edu with the command "subscribe PLTL-Biology" in the body of the e-mail message.
