Stanley Gedzelman
Professor of Meteorology and Atmospheric Phsyics (PhD Massachusetts Institute of Technology); Research includes hurricane dynamics and isotope variations within hurricanes.  Stan recently has taught Global Change (alternative to Science 200) and Atmospheric Modelling (top left).

Edward Hindman
Professor of Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics (PhD University of Washington); Research focusses on particle transfer from the Los Angeles Basin over the Colorado Rockies.  Ward has organized student research at Storm Peak Laboratory, Colorado every year for the last decade (left, second from top).

Patricia Kenyon
Professor of Geophysics (PhD Cornell University);  Research deals with techniques for exploring the subsurface using geophysical instrumentation, and magma migration at ocean spreading centers.  Pat has recently set up intensive Saturday courses in applied geophysics which expose students to the use of geophysical instruments.

Federica Raia
Professor of Volcanology and Science Education (PhD University of Naples).  Research topics include liquid inclusions in Vesuvian lavas, and methods for improving earth system science education (top right)

Jeffrey Steiner
Professor of geochemistry and Petrology, currently working on Urban Aerosols and Geobiology (PhD Stanford University)  Research topics include the Palisades Sill, Brooklyn granulites, heavy-metal-bearing aerosols, and aerosol-micro-fauna associations.  Jeff has recently taught IDL, Soil Science, and Environmental Geochemistry (right, second from top);

Margaret Winslow
Professor of Structural and Engineering Geology, recently of Geographic Information Science (PhD Columbia University).  Margie has spent many field seasons in the Carribean studying tectonic boundaries, and recently has created a broadly-based Geographic Information Science course for CCNY students (right, second from bottom).

Pengfei Zhang
Professor of Hydrology and Groundwater Systems (PhD University of Utah).  Research includes geology and engineering consideration of surface water flow, and the geochemical and geobiological remedies for contaminated water systems.  Fei is organizing graduate courses in Surface Hydrology and currently, Spring 2004, in Subsurface Remediation (bottom right).
